Plan content in the Content Planner

Create posts, complete their planning fields, and review work in list, board, or calendar style views.

Use the planner as the shared record

The Content Planner holds every post in the plan. Each post carries the information your team needs to understand where it stands, who owns it, what kind of content it is, how it is grouped, and when it is intended to go out.

Keeping that information on the post gives agency and client users a shared view of the work their roles allow. It also keeps approval on the same post that appears in the plan.

Create and complete a post

The five planning fields are status, owner, post type, category, and post date. Complete them consistently. A clear owner shows who is responsible, while the status shows how far the post has moved through the workflow. Type and category help organise the plan, and the post date places the work in time.

  1. 01Open the Content Planner for the brand you are working on.
  2. 02Create a post and add the content available for that item.
  3. 03Set its status so the team can see its current stage.
  4. 04Assign an owner for the next part of the work.
  5. 05Set the post type, category, and post date.
  6. 06Review the post before moving it into an internal or client review state.

Choose the right view

The planner has list, board, and calendar style views. Use the list when you want to scan post details in a compact sequence. Use the board to see work grouped across stages. Use the calendar to understand the timing and spacing of planned posts.

Changing the view does not create a separate plan. Each view presents the same post records in a different way. Update the post itself so its status, owner, type, category, and date remain current everywhere.

When several posts are ready for a client decision, select them in bulk and send them for approval together.
