Choose when the post should publish

When a post is ready to go live, you can schedule it to the calendar or publish it now. Scheduling is useful when the post belongs at a particular point in the plan. Publishing now sends ready content through the publishing process without placing it at a later calendar time.

Before either action, check that the correct social accounts are connected to the brand. Social accounts are managed from workspace settings. The post can only be published through the connections held by its brand.

Schedule from the planner

Scheduled posts carry their time zone. Use that information when coordinating content for brands or audiences in different locations. A date and time can be interpreted differently across regions, so checking the time zone helps you confirm when the post is expected to publish.

If the content should go live immediately instead, choose to publish now. Review the post and its connected accounts first, then start publishing without a future calendar time.

1. 01Open the planner for the brand whose post you want to schedule.
2. 02Choose the post that is ready for publishing and review its content.
3. 03Schedule the post to the intended date and time on the calendar.
4. 04Check the time zone carried by the scheduled post before you finish.
5. 05Return to the plan and confirm that the post is scheduled at the intended time.

Allow video to prepare

A video post can briefly enter a preparing-media state. This hold means Sequence is generating publish-ready variants of the video. The preparation step allows the media to be made ready before the post is sent through its connected social account.

You do not need to reschedule the post simply because it is preparing. Once the publish-ready variants have been generated, the post publishes when it is ready. The short hold separates media preparation from the final publishing action and prevents an unfinished video variant from being sent.

If you need to connect or restore an account before publishing, manage that connection from workspace settings for the same brand.
