Sequence MCP connects AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Codex to Sequence through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets an assistant use tools from other apps. Once connected, you can ask the assistant to plan posts, move work through review, and schedule or publish, and it does the work in Sequence for you.
How it works
Sequence runs the MCP server, so there is nothing to install. The server address is the same for everyone:
https://app.sequencesocial.com/api/mcp- You add Sequence to your assistant, then sign in to Sequence when it asks.
- You choose the workspaces, brands, access and social accounts the assistant can use. See Choose what an AI assistant can access.
- Every action runs as you, with the same role, approval and publishing rules as the Sequence app. An assistant can never do more than you can.
What an assistant can do
- Read brand details, Brand Brain, projects and content, and create or edit any post you can edit, including its channels, status, assignees, dates and Plan.
- Add media from a link or a local file, save inspiration, and add, reply to or resolve comments.
- Request reviews, and approve or request changes where your role can approve.
- Schedule or publish content that is Ready to post to the social accounts you select, after it checks with you.
- Read analytics for the social accounts you select.

Connect your assistant
- Connect Claude to Sequence: Sequence Social is listed in Claude's connector directory.
- Connect ChatGPT to Sequence: add Sequence with developer mode.
- Connect Codex and other MCP clients: Codex, Claude Code and any client that supports remote MCP servers.
