Keep your footage next to the posts it becomes.
Cloud Storage is where your team keeps raw footage and working files, in folders, beside the posts made from them. Upload a whole shoot, link each clip to the post it was shot for, and share a folder with a client in one link.
Upload a whole shoot, folders and all.
Drop in files or entire folders and the folder structure comes with them. There is no per-file size limit beyond your available storage, up to 5 TB a file. Large uploads pick up where they left off if you close the tab or your laptop sleeps.
- Folders
- Nest them up to eight levels deep.
- Two views
- Gallery to see the footage, List to scan names, types and dates.
- Drag to move
- Drop a file or a folder onto the folder it belongs in.
Every file from the shoot, in one place.
Camera originals, sound, stills and design files live together. Common video and image files get a preview to review from. Everything else shows as a file tile with its type, and downloads in full.
- Video previews
- MP4, MOV including ProRes, WebM, M4V, AVI, MPEG and MKV.
- Image previews
- JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and GIF.
- Cinema camera
- MXF, R3D and BRAW upload and download in full, as file tiles without a preview.
- Audio
- WAV, AIFF, MP3, M4A, AAC and FLAC, as file tiles.
- Stills and design
- Camera RAW, PSD, AI and EPS files, as file tiles.
- Documents
- PDFs and ZIPs.
Every post knows its raw footage.
Link a post to the footage it was shot for with its Cloud Storage property, on every post. Link single files or a whole folder, and a linked folder shows whatever it holds now. Each file shows the posts it's linked to, and you can change the link from either side. When a clip is ready, add it to the post to publish it. The original stays in Cloud Storage.
- Cloud Storage property
- On every post, listing the files and folders it came from.
- Linked posts
- Every file shows the posts it belongs to.
- Publish a clip
- Add it to the post. The original stays where it is.
Storage that grows with your brands.
On Pro, every brand adds to one pooled allowance for the whole workspace. Files attached to posts don't count toward Cloud Storage. They're for content you plan, review and publish, not general file storage or backup, under fair use.

Why teams keep their footage in Sequence.
Frame.io, Dropbox and Google Drive are good at what they do. When your footage becomes social posts, it helps for it to live where those posts are planned, approved and published.
| Compared | Sequence | Frame.io | Dropbox and Google Drive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Built for | Social content, from the shoot to the published post. | Reviewing video and images with your team and clients. | Storing and syncing files of every kind. |
| Footage and posts | Each post lists its raw footage, and each file its posts. | Files sit in review projects, apart from where posts are planned. | Files sit in folders, apart from where posts are planned. |
| Publishing | Add a clip to the post, get it approved and publish it, all in one place. | Finished files go to another tool to be published. | Files go to another tool to be published. |
| Sharing | Folder and file links with a passcode, an expiry date and a choice to allow downloads. | Review links that clients can comment on. | Share links with permissions. |
| On your computer | Works in the browser. No desktop app or folder sync. | Works in the browser, with integrations for editing apps. | Desktop apps that sync folders to your computer. |
Still worth keeping: if you need version history for working files, comments on shared files, or folders that sync to your desktop, Frame.io, Dropbox and Google Drive do those well, and plenty of teams use them alongside Sequence.
The details.
Private by default
Every download goes through a link that expires, issued only after Sequence checks you have access.
Time to sort it out
Go over your storage and uploads pause, with every file still viewable and downloadable. You get 90 days and email reminders before the oldest files are removed.
Search every folder
Find any file by its name, wherever it sits, from one search box.
Link Google Drive and Dropbox
Paste a public Google Drive or Dropbox link and its files show in Cloud Storage, with nothing copied. Link them to posts like any other file.
Open to your own tools
Claude, ChatGPT or your own scripts can list your folders and files, download them and keep up with every change, through the Sequence MCP and API.
Know when footage lands
Webhooks tell Zapier, Make or your own app when a file is added, renamed, moved or deleted, so nothing has to keep checking.
Frequently asked questions
What counts toward my storage?
Files you upload to Cloud Storage. Files attached to posts don't count toward Cloud Storage. They're for content you plan, review and publish, not general file storage or backup, under fair use. When you add a Cloud Storage clip to a post, the original stays in Cloud Storage and still counts.
What happens to an original video after it is published?
The original is kept for as long as the post exists. Post media does not count toward Cloud Storage and is for content you plan, review and publish under fair use, not general file storage or backup. Copy the post's file to Cloud Storage if you want to keep it with your folders, where it counts toward storage.
How much storage is included?
Cloud Storage is a Pro feature. Pro includes 20 GB per brand, pooled across your workspace, so three brands share 60 GB. The 14-day Pro trial includes 20 GB. On Pro, you can add 1 TB for $20 USD a month. See pricing.
What happens if I go over my storage?
Uploads to Cloud Storage pause until there's room again, and every file stays viewable, downloadable and shareable. If Cloud Storage stays over for 90 days, we email you along the way and then remove the oldest files until it fits. If Pro ends, your Cloud Storage files stay viewable and downloadable for 90 days, then they're removed unless you're back on Pro. Files attached to posts are never removed for this.
Which file types can I upload?
Video, audio, camera RAW stills, PSD, AI and EPS files, PDFs and ZIPs can all be uploaded. There is no per-file size limit beyond your available storage, up to 5 TB a file. MP4, MOV (ProRes included), WebM, M4V, AVI, MPEG and MKV video get a smooth preview for review, and JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and GIF images get a still. Everything else, including MXF, R3D and BRAW, audio such as WAV, AIFF and MP3, camera RAW and design files, appears as a file tile with its type and downloads in full.
Are my files private?
Yes. Every download goes through a link that expires, issued only after Sequence checks you have access. To show files to someone outside your workspace, share a folder or a file with them by link.
Can I share footage with a client?
Yes. Share a folder or a single file by link, add a passcode or an expiry date, choose whether people can download, and stop sharing at any time. You can also download any folder as a zip, with its folder structure kept.
Do I still need Frame.io, Dropbox or Google Drive?
For footage that becomes social posts, Sequence keeps the files next to the posts, the approvals and the publishing. Frame.io, Dropbox and Google Drive still do things Sequence doesn't, like version history, comments on shared files and folders that sync to your desktop, so plenty of teams keep them for that.
Give your next shoot a home.
Upload the folder, link it to the posts it's for, and share it in one link. Cloud Storage is included on Pro.
