Sequence vs SocialPilot: approvals, publishing and agency costs
Compare Sequence and SocialPilot for client approvals, bulk publishing and agency pricing, including a practical three-brand cost comparison.

SocialPilot is worth a look when you have a lot of posts ready to schedule and need agency tools at a manageable price. Sequence is worth trying when the work before scheduling takes the most effort: planning the post, reviewing the creative and getting a client decision. Both support approvals, but compare the plans that include the kind of approval you need.
Is the delay in making the post or scheduling it?
Picture an agency preparing next month's content. One client has sent a finished folder of captions and images. Another has approved the idea but still wants changes to the video. The first batch needs an efficient publishing process. The second needs a clear way to finish the work.
SocialPilot's bulk scheduling and queues are worth testing for the first situation. Sequence brings the plan, media feedback, approval and publishing status together for the second. There is overlap, so a trial using your own work will tell you more than a list of tick marks.
We build Sequence. This comparison reflects our view of the trade-offs, with SocialPilot facts checked against its official product and pricing pages.
Where SocialPilot is a good fit
If your agency prepares content in batches, try loading a typical batch into SocialPilot. Check how you tailor it for each network, group accounts and handle a last-minute change. Those repetitive publishing steps can matter more than a feature you use once a quarter.
SocialPilot also supports client review. Its client management tools let agencies involve clients in the approval process. The plan distinction matters: Standard includes internal content and manager approval tools, while Premium adds client approval workflows and client seats.
That makes Premium the sensible starting point for an agency that needs customers to sign off on posts. If only your own team reviews the work, Standard may be enough, subject to the account count you need.
What to test in Sequence
Choose a post that needed more than a caption correction. Perhaps the designer had to change the video, the client moved the date, and the account manager had to check approval again.
Run those steps in Sequence with the people who normally do them. Can the designer find the media feedback? Can the account manager see what is waiting on the client? Can the scheduler tell whether the post is ready?
Sequence Pro includes media review, approvals, inbox and organic/ads analytics. Its case is strongest when your team wants those steps close to the plan. If your existing review process already works and bulk publishing is the priority, SocialPilot may fit comfortably.

Three brands, five accounts each, three team members
Sequence Pro is US$69/month or US$690/year. It includes the 15 accounts and unlimited team members.
SocialPilot Premium is US$100/month or US$1,020/year. It covers client approvals, 20 accounts and six team users. That's more included capacity than the Sequence plan in this example. Standard doesn't include the client approval workflow being compared.
For a solo publisher with five accounts and no client approval requirement, SocialPilot Essentials is US$20/month, compared with US$29/month for one Sequence Pro brand. Sequence isn't automatically the cheaper choice.
Additional SocialPilot accounts are listed at US$4/month and extra users on eligible plans at US$5/month. Sequence extra accounts cost US$5/month each. Extra Sequence storage and AI credit top-ups are separate.
Try the awkward post, too
A clean batch of finished posts tests scheduling. A post with conflicting feedback tests collaboration. Use both before committing.
Ask a client reviewer to request a change, ask a colleague to make it, and check what the person publishing sees afterwards. Then test the social networks and post formats your clients rely on. A connected account doesn't guarantee identical publishing, inbox and reporting support.
If SocialPilot handles the batch and the review comfortably, its agency plans deserve consideration. If keeping the creative work and client decisions together is the bigger need, try one client brand in Sequence.
